Face Book Intervention Quilt

New to FB, I became quickly consumed and had to be distracted from this time consuming past time. This last quilt is inspired by my Dad's wooden buoy collection (over 100), and is an homage to him. It has been 4 years as of March 20th since he passed on to other destinations, yet I feel his presence all of the time. I was without a doubt channeling his creative energy throughout this project.

"Hello", "Good Bye"....

It is with mixed emotions that I make this new post. Mark and Janice Roy of The Little Red Quilt House have shut there doors in Stratford, and will begin a new journey and I wish them all of the luck in the world. Not only have I learned everything I know about Long arm quilting from them, but they were always way too generous with their time and services. I have also made friends with them and many of their customers and co-workers.
On a brighter note, I am working part time at The Quilters Alley in Ridgefield, so please let them know if you need any help. Passing the gauntlet....And so now it is up to Roxanne and Stuart, and Lorna up in Bristol, to keep the quilting going! Roxanne and Stuart also hapen to have the most Happenin' quilt shop in the area! Sis Boom, Tina Givens, Anna Maria Horner, awesome Asian prints and even vintage pieces. Roxanne's Patterns rock- Times Square is my all time favorite. It's like a great old standard song... "The lady is a tramp"? Or maybe, "Gonna take the A train"? You get the idea....

hand printed fabric

Inspired by Lotta Jansdotter, Swedish craft maven, I am attempting to print my own fabrics. Her book "Lotta Prints" is a great reference!

Want to know whats good?

Goody, Goody!

Oh, Goody! The Goody Shop is open!

Imagine this beautiful shop filled with over 70 of Fairfield Counties most festive shoppers, flowing champagne, and 5 teirs of the most decadent chocolates from Chocopologie in Norwalk,CT, and you have been to the grand opening of The Goody Shop in Westport. It was such an elegant event and I feel honored to have been a part of it. Here's hoping I have done a little more to help President Obama get his stimulus package stimulated!
