It is with mixed emotions that I make this new post. Mark and Janice Roy of The Little Red Quilt House have shut there doors in Stratford, and will begin a new journey and I wish them all of the luck in the world. Not only have I learned everything I know about Long arm quilting from them, but they were always way too generous with their time and services. I have also made friends with them and many of their customers and co-workers.
On a brighter note, I am working part time at The Quilters Alley in Ridgefield, so please let them know if you need any help. Passing the gauntlet....And so now it is up to Roxanne and Stuart, and Lorna up in Bristol, to keep the quilting going! Roxanne and Stuart also hapen to have the most Happenin' quilt shop in the area! Sis Boom, Tina Givens, Anna Maria Horner, awesome Asian prints and even vintage pieces. Roxanne's Patterns rock- Times Square is my all time favorite. It's like a great old standard song... "The lady is a tramp"? Or maybe, "Gonna take the A train"? You get the idea....

On your March 11 blog I couldn’t respond to your last message with one of my rambling responses, so, I placed this one under your current entry for March 12.
Thank you for telling me about the archival inkpads. I'll pop into Boston's Paper Source and see what they have. I like the idea as an alternative, but I'm also very interested in designing my own textile prints too. I keep hoping The DeCordova Museum here in Lincoln, MA, where I live will put on a class or two, in the meantime, I'll just have to cut some apples in two and cover them with pretty paint, and start stamping away on scraps of Manuel Canovas!
I'll look into blog alternatives, and start redesigning. Once I've added my perfectionist touches I'll get back to you in time with a link. Pressures on!
This evening, while sipping exotic tea, I'm going to look through some of my British Vogues, and let you know which photographs of you and Sloane were most impressionable to me. This will be a testament to my savior faire tastes!
By the way, a very happy springtime to you, which starts on March 20th!
Look at that professional card!!!!!! I am sorry about Janice and Mark too but know that they will reinvent themselves and can't wait till they do!!
That's to bad about the quilt shop, however, it is great that you are working at a nice quilt shop. I hope you enjoy it!
