Sis Boom whole cloth quilt raffle.

It's hot, you've decided to take a quick break in the A/C and check some blogs, and low and behold! That Nancy is having another give away! A beautiful 50" x 60" whole cloth throw made from Sis Boom's Pretty Please, Flower Power or Dance with me lines...I haven't decided yet...
You must comment on my blog and come back to visit often. The raffle will end one week from today, July 27th, in honor of what would have been my dad's 85th birthday.

My dad was an amazing American Folk Artist. Inspired by the flotsam and jetsam , flora and fauna, discarded ropes, key chains, fish hooks, lobster pots and buoys, old cigar boxes and pipe cleaners. His works of art showed the paths he walked, seas he sailed, and often things he found along the way. His method was relaxed and solitary, emerging from his studio only when his piece was done. When asked how long it took him, he would often reply, “ Oh, that one is a three martini!” I think of him in all my artistic endeavors. Cheers, Dad.

I found you in Mary Jane's Farm magazine. I LOVE your saddle pads. They are beeeautiful! And I love your answer for when people ask why you keep keeping your horses =) I'm going to start answering that way when my Dad asks me why I still have my big guy...

LOL

I'm heading off to your store!

Your dad sounds like an amazing man. I love that picture too, in front of the sailboat, very enigmatic. What a great way to honour him. I'd love to take part in the draw. Thanks for putting it on!

Remembering your dad on his birthday. When my dad passed on he was 84. He kept talking about reaching the magical 85 but was just a month short. Nearly 85 was just as good to us ! Love that picture.. he looks like a great adventurer!
